Vitruvian was honoured to be recognised as one of Australia and New Zealand’s Most Innovative Companies at AFRs awards.

The prestigious annual list, published by The Australian Financial Review BOSS, is based on a rigorous assessment process managed by Australia’s leading behavioural science consultancy, Inventium, in conjunction with a panel of industry expert judges.

We were honoured to rank #1 on the Manufacturing and Consumer Goods list, from over 700 nominated organisations across Australia and New Zealand. The assessment is based on Inventium’s Innovation Framework which comprises the nine elements science has shown to drive innovation. The assessment also judges the organisation’s top innovation from the previous two years. Specifically, the judges look at how valuable the problem is that the innovation is solving, the quality and uniqueness of the solution, and the level of impact that the innovation has had.

Vitruvian was thrilled to be recognised for our innovative, smart connected-fitness product and platform. Quick and easy to set up, the Vitruvian Trainer+ brings the gym weight room to your home or hotel room in the form of a slim, carbon fibre platform that can easily slide under a bed. Using revolutionary AI technology, this virtual personal trainer adjusts the weight to individual users in real-time, loading and deloading the optimal resistance, without the need for a spotter. The result? An effective, time-savvy workout that can easily fit into your lifestyle.

The patented technology includes the Vitruvian app which gives users access to 200+ exercises, classes curated by elite fitness coaches, goal-oriented programs, data tracking and performance insights.

Jon Gregory, founder of Vitruvian says:

“Vitruvian is a very young company, we launched our first product to the market in November 2020 right in the middle of a global pandemic. Since then, we have been tinkering away making the tech better and better as we always strive to improve and add more value to our customers. We have a product that I am so proud of and a community that is highly engaged.”

Dr Amantha Imber, Founder, Inventium says:

“Inventium is proud to announce the 2022 Most Innovative Companies list in conjunction with The Australian Financial Review. It’s exciting to see the number of ideas that are not only creating enormous value for our entrants but are also contributing to a positive impact on our planet and diverse communities.”

“It is so encouraging to see Australian entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs continuing to come up with fresh ideas and executing them. Innovations such as those highlighted in the 2022 AFR BOSS Most Innovative Companies list should help to propel our economy.”
