Perth’s Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre wins 2019 Australian Fitness Awards Council/Licensed Fitness Centre Of The Year Award

Perth’s Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre has been acknowledged as the 2019 Council/Licensed Fitness Centre of the Year as part of the Australian Fitness Awards powered by Fitness Australia, the national peak industry association, at a gala event in Sydney.

Barrie Elvish CEO of Fitness Australia, the national peak industry association, explains that the Australian Fitness Awards provide a fantastic opportunity for businesses and individuals to be acknowledged for their contribution to the industry and the impact they have in their communities.

“Belmont Oasis is a perfect example of how physical activity can connect a community of people.  They’ve illustrated the importance of all Australians being given equal opportunities,” says Barrie. “The facility they provide and the work that they do is bettering people’s lives, and this national award now positions Belmont Oasis as an industry benchmark – their community and members should feel proud to have such a facility available.”

Rohan Gunton, WA State Manager Belgravia Leisure says, “What makes our centre stand out is really the community culture that we have been able to develop here.”

“It’s a relationship between not only the staff being able to provide great service and push the boundary to deeply understand our customer needs, but also testament to how we engage with each other to create a real team environment that allows us to flourish”.

Nick Cox, CEO Belgravia Leisure says, “we are proud of the team to be recognised for such a prestigious award, one of the highest honours in our industry”.

“Our team and our management have worked tirelessly in bringing the very best in health and leisure to Belmont and this is the reward for all that hard work”.
