Are you ready to introduce Clubbercise to your club?

Clubbercise, the UK fitness phenomenon launched in 2014, is expanding across Australia due to high demand. Classes include a combination of dance, toning and combat moves taught with nightclub-style lighting and flashing LED glow sticks, making it a fun way to stay healthy and exercise. Over 2,000 instructors from gyms, health clubs and dance studios were trained within three years. The trend has started to take off in Australia with a high demand for Clubbercise classes. As a result, Clubbercise will be running instructor training courses this year in key locations across the country.

The instructor training course covers essential information that instructors will need to know prior to running their own class, including:

  • Introduction to the Clubbercise brand
  • Clubbercise Masterclass
  • Guide to setting up and running successful classes
  • Clubbercise Teaching Model
  • Clubbercise choreography
  • How to access choreography and music
  • Advice on launching and promoting classes
  • Healthy and safety considerations

“The response to Clubbercise so far from Australia has been overwhelmingly positive,” says Claire Burlison, Founder of Clubbercise. “We’re excited to offer fit pros the opportunity to be trained in delivering our classes. During the training, they will personally experience the physical and mental health benefits of Clubbercise and see why they need to share this fun with their clientele.”

Jade Purdie, Australia’s first Master Trainer for Clubbercise will be teaching and leading each course. Since the inception of Clubbercise, Jade has taught a number of one day training courses so that fitness and dance professionals achieve certification to teach Clubbercise classes. Jade has trained fitness professionals from Virgin Active clubs, Fernwood Fitness gyms, freelancers and more. She has also taught over 150 Clubbercise classes to participants.

“Over the past three months, we have been running pop-up classes to gauge the interest from our membership base and local community,” says Clare Walker, Club Manager at Fernwood Fitness Yarraville. “The response has been overwhelmingly positive to the point where we are now investing in having instructors trained. We have no doubt that adding Clubbercise into our existing timetable will help motivate our current members but also be a drawcard for potential new future members.”

To date, the Clubbercise instructor training course has been awarded 7 Continuing Education Credits (CEC) points by Fitness Australia. As the popularity of Clubbercise spreads through Australia, more classes will be rolled out in 2018.

The Gold Coast training course will be held on April 29th, from 10am to 6:30pm at Sports Super Centre, 1 Sports Drive in QLD 4216.

The Sydney (Brookvale) training course will be held on May 20th, from 10am to 6:30pm at Kingdom Gym, 8-13 Winbourne Road in NSW 2100.
