Local industry publisher recognised as global news source by Google.

A significant recent development for Australasian Leisure Management and all sectors of the leisure industry, has seen Google’s addition of the www.ausleisure.com.au website on the Google News tab, putting this news service alongside aggregated news from mainstream media sources from all over the world.

Google News selects news from thousands of news websites and Australasian Leisure Management’s presence within the search engine means that news reported on this site now reaches a global audience searching for news.

Welcoming this recognition of Australasian Leisure Management’s resource and impact, Publisher Nigel Benton said:

“This is not only a massive development for us but has huge implications for all those whom we report on in Australia, New Zealand and across much of Asia. It means that our news – and the businesses, organisations, events and activities we cover – now gets even greater exposure both locally and globally.”

Inclusion in Google News is not a paid service, with Google aiming for the service to “make news more accessible and easier to navigate … with a renewed focus on facts, diverse perspectives, and more control for users.”

It’s always great to see local providers being recognised on a global scale. We wish hearty congratulations to Nigel and his Australian Leisure Management team.
