Due to the COVID-19 pandemic worsening globally, partners and supporters of FILEX and the Australian Awards Gala Dinner are taking heed of Government advice.

In order to minimise the spread of the Covid-19 virus, the Australian government has imposed a ban on non-essential gatherings of 500 people or more. In order to adhere to this directive, Fitness Australia will be postponing the Fitness Australia Awards Gala Dinner to a later date.

Fitness Australia will continue to proceed with announcing the winners of the 2020 Awards Program, however we are working through how we will actively do this. Gala Dinner ticket purchasers and others will be contacted later today with more information.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but the health and safety of our members and attendees is of the utmost importance to us and we believe postponing the event was the best decision.

Please find below an announcement from the FILEX Convention:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic worsening globally, and after on-going discussions with our partners; Fitness Australia, The Fitness Show, and key supporters we have made the decision to postpone the date of FILEX 2020, and Fitness Australia’s Australian Fitness Awards Gala Dinner.

At this time, the wellbeing of all our community; delegates, speakers, partners, award winners and other attendees is paramount. These are completely unprecedented times, and decisions like these are tough, but necessary, in the interests of the health and well being of the entire fitness industry.

We are working with our venue, the ICC, Sydney and all of our key partners to find a suitable date later in 2020 to reschedule FILEX, and the Australian Fitness Awards Gala Dinner. We appreciate your patience and will update you as soon as possible with revised plans for the events.
