Spinning Center Gym opened the country’s first indoor cycling facility back in 2001. Since then, they’ve grown to a nationwide chain with 22 studios in eight cities.

As a trendsetter on the Colombian fitness scene, they’re thrilled to be bringing Motosumo’s cutting-edge blend of fitness tracking, gamification, and community features to their popular indoor cycling classes. For now, Motosumo will be used in nine of their centers, with plans to spread to the rest in the new year.

“We’re excited to see how our members react to Motosumo’s features,” says Cesar Casallas, CEO of Spinning Center Gym. “We’re always looking for fun new ways to strengthen our community of riders.”

A key feature of the deal was just how quickly it was all hashed out. In a matter of ten days, Spinning Center Gym was ready to implement their branded version of Motosumo.

“It was really important that we get a branded solution for our gym,” says Cesar. “Our members associate our brand with a certain level of excellence. So, we were really impressed by how soon we got everything up and running.”

Back in Denmark, Motosumo’s CEO and co-founder, Kresten Juel Jensen, is excited to plant the Motosumo flag in new soil.

“It’s always a great feeling to partner up with a new operator,” he says. “But this one is extra special for us. It’s our first partnership in Colombia, and, on top of that, with the pioneers of indoor cycling.”

The innovative Danish app started life as an idea between a group friends; an eclectic mix of engineers, physicists, and group-fitness aficionados. Since its inception in Copenhagen, Motosumo has spread to almost every corner of the globe and is being used in dozens of countries across six different continents. This latest deal helps solidify the app’s position as a universal, one-of-a-kind solution making waves in the global group-fitness industry.
