National Media today announced its launch of Business of Fitness, a new breakout business-to-business event for Australasia’s fitness and wellness industry, co-founded by Shaun Krenz, former Fitness Show Event Director.

This launch marks the first move for National Media into the $22.9 billion Asia-Pacific fitness market. However, the company is already a familiar name in the trade show industry having developed and organised some of the regions leading business events for the hotel, hospitality, healthcare, natural foods and supplements, facilities, and e-commerce sectors, to name a few.

This announcement brings together two strong and respected operators from the fitness and exhibition industry, with National Media being a stalwart of the business events industry since 1993 and Shaun having overseen exhibitions that are specific to the fitness industry since 2009.

Managing Director of National Media, Mark Harvey, said:

“I am super excited to announce the launch of Business of Fitness, a much-needed platform and catalyst – in the form of an independent, stand-alone B2B trade show and convention for the fitness and wellness industry. It will be an entirely new standard for events in the fitness industry with a focus on bringing together a curated audience of decision-makers from every type of fitness facility across all verticals. I’m greatly impressed with Shaun’s work and now look forward to working with him to accelerate the growth of this event.”

Co-founder and Event Director of Business of Fitness, Shaun Krenz, said:

“I am very proud to be joining forces with Mark and the team at National Media. For many years now, I’ve looked from afar with admiration for this business and their ability to develop industry-defining events within the markets they serve. They’ve consistently demonstrated success across so many different shows by challenging the status quo and redefining the trade show experience.”

In the coming weeks, we will reach out directly to the community to learn even more about the common goal of growth, the latest trends, best practices and strategies, new business models and game-changing innovations that are redefining the business and future of fitness and wellness.

Harvey said:

“We will continue to use insights from our other networks and the expert knowledge of Shaun, along with the formation of an executive advisory board to help shape the event offering. Nobody understands the industry more than the industry themselves so working together towards a shared vision creates the best chance of success.”

The event will span three days packed with incredible content, comprehensive exhibits, curated one-to-one meetings and meaningful networking opportunities in a format where everyone benefits from rich, in-person interactions and in an environment that’s more conducive for doing business.

The exhibit hall will bring together suppliers of commercial equipment, technology, products and services needed to succeed in the business of fitness. The convention program will deliver international keynotes and a groundbreaking line-up of business sessions across a variety of tracks, deep-dive workshops and roundtable discussions. A hosted buyer program that will fly-in and accommodate qualified buyers in the fitness industry guarantees a higher ROI for participants.

Whether you’re new to the fitness industry or are a seasoned veteran, Business of Fitness will be the new destination where the industry meets, relationships are formed, and deals get done.

More information will be announced shortly, including date and venue.
