Digital fitness specialist Wexer has unveiled a powerful new feature for its Mobile App and Web Player.

A feature has been specifically created to connect trainers and content partners with end users – giving operators full control of their own generated content.

Launching this month, Connect can be integrated – free of charge – into both the Wexer App and the Wexer Web Player.

It then allows operators to mobilise even the most isolated members of their teams, empowering superstar instructors and trainers – wherever they are, and using nothing more than their mobile phones – to create a steady stream of fresh, high quality workout content for their members – under the full control of the operator.

These brand ambassadors simply use their phones to film themselves doing workouts, edit if needed, upload the videos into Connect and add it to a dedicated holding queue for approval. All workouts can be made available on-demand. All content is then pushed into the operator’s own app or Web Player for their members’ exclusive use. Operators retain full control over what content gets published and when it goes live.

Another huge benefit of the Connect feature is that own-generated content is not limited to fitness classes. Operators can now treat this feature as if it were their own TV channel, producing a stream of supplementary content to add value to their offerings and better support members.

Wexer CEO Paul Bowman said:

“Connect was conceived with a very specific goal in mind: to allow for the easy, but also ownable, sharing of workout content. It allows operators to provide a home fitness offering their members will instantly feel comfortable with: classes led by familiar faces from their own gym.”

“It removes the barriers of geography that have resulted from ‘stay at home’ orders the world over, ensuring people still get to train with their favourite instructors and PTs even while stuck at home.”

“Equally important, by delivering all of this on an own branded platform, the home fitness offering becomes an extension of the in-club experience. This will help operators maintain control and reinforce member loyalty through these troubled times.”

Connect will also be opened up to Wexer’s global content partners. The existing collections of virtual classes will still be available through the on-demand library, but these leading brands also have the option to mobilise their own superstars, creating a steady supply of fresh workouts that will be made available to all customers.

Bowman concluded:

“We firmly believe that social isolation needn’t be a barrier to producing great new fitness content. It needn’t be a barrier to supporting members. Wherever your trainers may be during these times of crisis, Connect is there to unlock the power of your people. It is there to support you to better support your members, ensuring it’s your brand that offers the fitness solution they are – now more than ever – looking for.”
