Your Island Supply is a Sydney-based activewear label, and the brainchild of husband and wife, Dhanya and Duncan.  

As avid surfers with a young active family, they divide their time between the Northern Beaches of Sydney and sub-tropical Queensland. It was while living in these two places, where an active lifestyle is a way of life, they saw a gap in the market for vibrant, tropical-inspired performance driven activewear. 

“I noticed that in gyms, studios and when exercising outdoors, most of the women were wearing plain leggings,” Dhanya says. “While there’s nothing wrong with that, we decided it was time to inject a little more colour into womens’ athleisure wardrobes!”

The couple set about creating performance luxe leggings that are just as functional as they are fashionable. After months of testing and trying fabrics through many activities and climates, they developed the perfect blend.

The result was leggings that can effortlessly see you through any activity with ease. Not only are they incredibly soft with a 4-way stretch for optimal comfort, they’re also moisture-wicking and extremely supportive! Each print is designed in-house, with a focus on making women of all shapes and sizes feel confident, happy and energetic.

Dhanya says, “as a mum of 3 little ones, I need leggings that I can wear all day from the school drop off, to beach runs with the dog, grocery shopping, household stuff, school pick-up, and a workout in the gym or yoga class! Our leggings allow me to do that without changing throughout the day, plus they make me happy when I wear them”

When Your Island Supply Active launched in October 2017, they could have never have predicted that they would sell out in December. So far, they’ve had some incredible feedback from customers who have compared the quality of leggings to big, well known activewear brands. Not bad for a start up business from the beaches!
