The Women in Fitness Association (WIFA) is celebrating its first anniversary marking the occasion with gifts for founding members.

WIFA, the only global non-profit association bringing together women in the fitness industry, supports members through quarterly meetings, annual live meetings, mentorship pairing, networking, website features, speaking opportunities, blog contributions and more.

Since it’s debut in June of 2017 WIFA has grown to over 225 members, and 11 corporate sponsors including Matrix, Precor, Piloxing, and SCW Fitness just to name a few. WIFA also held its first live event at IHRSA 2018 honoring the founding mothers of the fitness industry and is currently in talks with FIBO international about heading the ‘Women in Leadership’ education track.

“We are so excited by the overwhelming support we have received throughout the industry.” Says WIFA founder and CEO Lindsey Rainwater, “We want to be able to say years from now that this association is what helped people get their start and make a difference in our industry for more women to come.”

Ann Gilbert, WIFA Member, says “the experience of collaborating with my mentor is something that I haven’t been able to find anywhere else, in just a few short months I’ve made connections across the world.”

In celebration of their first year, WIFA will be offering the first new members a welcome gift and will be offering a discount for renewing founding members.  Upcoming WIFA events include Career Night on June 13th and a live event at IDEA 2018 in July.
